I developed a passion for athletics early in life. I was a 3 sport athlete in high school and a collegiate football player.
After graduating from Kean University in 2009, I became a certified personal trainer and a performance enhancement specialist. About a year into my career working as a trainer at a gym, I was introduced to CrossFit. I became a Level 1 Certified CrossFit coach soon after. I knew I wanted a place where I could really showcase my love of the sport and CrossFit Absecon was born in 2012. I really enjoy training all the different individuals who have become a part of CrossFit Absecon. Each person's goals vary, so my love for programming and trying different methods of fitness really helps us excel. I have recently become a competitive powerlifter.
In addition to CrossFit, I also program and coach a successful powerlifting program. Certifications NASM-Certified Personal Trainer NASM-Preformance Enhancement Specialist AFPA- Kids Fitness Certification Crossfit LV-1 Trainer BA in Recreation Administation from Kean University
Health and fitness has always been a big part of my life, and it has greatly influenced my career path. I was a competitive gymnast from the time I was five years old, until I graduated high school, competing in local, as well as national competitions. I graduated from Rowan University, in 2015, with a bachelor’s degree in health & physical education, through the school of exercise science. Currently, I am a health and physical education teacher at Fernwood Avenue Middle School in Egg Harbor Township, as well as a CrossFit Level 1 trainer at CrossFit Absecon.
I began CrossFit in 2014 after several recommendations from friends, and I have been a dedicated member of CrossFit Absecon ever since. My ultimate goal as a coach is to teach members how to move safely, and efficiently for maximal performance, but more importantly, instill healthy habits for life-long fitness. My favorite thing about CrossFit is that anyone can do it, as long as you have a positive attitude!
