WHEN DID YOU START AT : October 2013

FAVORITE WOD:
1000 Double Under Challenge. It's only my favorite because I finished it. At the end I was on one foot. It was a never ending mindless battle and without the support of everyone cheering me on in last place i would've never finished it.

LEAST FAVORITE WOD:
ANYTHING with RUNNING because I am slow, undisciplined through no-ones fault but my own. I want to love it but my head doesn't allow my body to do what it's meant to sometimes.

SPORTS & FITNESS BACKGROUND:

Prior to having my 3 children, I played sports throughout my grade school and high school years. I was always athletic. Basketball, softball, volleyball, etc. After having kids I was just active with them. I went to different gyms here and there over the years but when my husband started Crossfit and badgered me for months to come, I was very intimidated shockingly but I found I love it the most out of any sport I've tried.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES/INTERESTS?
I love family time above anything else. I enjoy reading, doing crafts and traveling the world with my husband.

HOW DID YOU FIRST GET EXPOSED TO CROSSFIT? Take us back to your first WOD.... what was it, anyhow did it feel?

Michael(My husband, also a Crossfit Coach) talked me into after countless attempts of trying for months. He wouldn't stop talking about it. I guess that's the Kool-aid people were talking about. First time I came it was when your gym just settled into this Absecon building; no floors, mats were rolled up and no heat. The WOD of the day was called Cindy. I don't remember if it was my first actual WOD but that's how I remember it. Anyway, Mike and Mary were competing against each other and I wanted to die. Obviously I had it scaled . Couldn't walk for about a week after but I loved it and of course came back for the Love/Hate of it all.

"My body is in great shape when I put the effort and go religiously but when i stop going because, life and laziness . I feel terrible. Bottom line is I shouldn’t stop and this is both with nutrition and physical Fitness. "
HOW HAS CROSSFIT IMPACTED YOUR LIFE?
Physically, I can do a lot more in everyday life and socially; I can’t say enough what this community has meant to me. I’ve made friendships and strong bonds and have such great memories of this fine community. I mike and I started a Whole 30 challenge and it took off. The coaches started a group challenge and it was amazing. They are willing to listen to input and they put it to use. I can’t say enough how amazed I am at this. There are no egos here. There is no place like CrossFit Absecon. One big dysfunctional crazy happy family!

Please share with us any CrossFit Absecon moments.

Simple moments of everyone coming together and cheering for you especially when your last and you have to just get through it. These are My absolute favorite moments. It is Hard to narrow it down. Besides everyone pushing to help you get PRS, I love the social aspects of the parties and beach wods, etc.
